:I'd be hard pressed to belive that a tire company of their magnitude would not have strict sampling and testing of their products before they release a batch to the market. I'd expect that they have a certain level of acceptance below which they would crap the whole lot of tires. It would be more likely to think that you were sold a bad batch of tires not by kuhmo's fault, but maybe because they were stored in direct sunlight for a very long time, or maybe they were rejected by kuhmo and sold as second grade tires (without you knowing obviously). :GeorgeSO many people seem to hate the tires, but I still cannot understand why. So there is no other way for me to accept that one tire would go bald, while the ones right in front of it have near BRAND NEW tread, unless there was a bad mix of rubber. I firmly believe now, that the inconsistancy of tire materials could easily explain the negative results that other people have had. For my recent driving style, the rear tires should have easily been a 20k mile tire. The inconsistancy of quailty also plays into how inexpensive they are. Maybe they are less careful about materials and builds (explaining tread seperation, for which I have only heard 2 accounts of in 2 years). anyway... those are my thoughts.
